Sin-Gwen Models still on the move
Sin-Gwen Models, which operates in Cosmo City, hosted their fourth annual event and crowned their 2019 Mr and Miss Teen Cosmo City on 2 November at New Creation Ministries Church venue in extension 2.
Sin-Gwen Models is an organisation, which trains teenage models and get them ready for beauty pageants. In an interview with the Chronicle, Sin-Gwen Models co- founder Gwendoline Mncube said their organisation will continue hosting modelling shows in the community and areas outside Cosmo City.
“We got a good response from the community as usual,” she said.” We thank the community members who attended the event as they continued to uplift the youth. We always learn from fixing our mistakes. Our pageants are done in a similar way to other pageants. We always give our winners an opportunity to enter other pageants while representing us. Our former queen Naledi became a finalist in Miss Teen Social Entrepreneur.”
At Sin-Gwen Models, we always teach pageants to respect their tittles, she said. “Our winners should not forget their purpose to enter the competition,” Mncube said. “Their purpose is to be youth leaders in the community. We would like to congratulate them, and wish them a fruitful year.”
The winners of Sin-Gwen Models 2019 are as follows: 2nd Princess Nandi Ndaba (16 years), 1st Princess Sharmine Maponya (18 years), Miss Teen Cosmo city 2019 Lindiwe Moale (17 years), 2nd Prince Elijah Moshiana (18 years), 1st Prince Bafana Dewa (18 years) and Mr Teen Cosmo city 2019 Thomas Mkhwanazi (17 years)
Another Sin-Gwen Models co-founder Sindi Dambuza thanked the sponsors, judges and artists who made and event succeccsful and interesting.
Nufsed Entertainment, Boston College and Sasol Garage sponsored the event amd awarded the winners with different prizes. Judges of the day were: Julian Mr Icon Gauteng, Miss Teen 2016 Nosiphiwe Mafaka, Singer and Song writer Ciar Diko and Angela Face of Sin-Gwen Models.
Performances by Ciar Diko, KayGee XI,Bathabile, Nesty C,Python Dancing legends, Swizzy daphiloso Mahlatse d deejay, Cally V and Deejay Ghetto kept the audiences captivated.
“We also thank Mam Chilaone of New Creation Ministries for the venue, MC of the day Tumelo Mellz, Skhalo for designing our gold crown, and our security man Ndumiso Jason,” Dambuza concluded.
