Tulip Fever

The tulip flower was a flower one gave to declare their love to one the loved which lead to a high demand for tulip flowers in the17th-century. Set against the backdrop of the 17th-century Tulip Wars, a married noblewoman (Alicia Vikander) has an affair with an artist (Dane DeHaan) and switches identities with her maid to escape the wealthy merchant she married. She and her lover try to raise money together by investing what little they have in the high-stakes tulip market. It is a romance/drama movie suitable for 16+ with a run time of 1hr4mins.

The Circle

For those that enjoy thriller then this movie is for you, with two leading casts Tom Hanks (Forest Gump) and Emma Watson (Harry Potter). When Mae (Emma Thomson) is hired by the world’s largest and most powerful tech and social media company, she sees it as an opportunity of a lifetime. As she starts to rise within the company ranks, she is offered a role to part of a ground breaking experiment which results to her witnessing that every decision she makes seems to be affecting the lives not only those close to her but humanity itself. For those that love social media this movie just might freak you out as to where the world could be heading to in the near future.

The Founder

For those who love McDonalds this one is a treat for you.  The movie starring Michael Keaton (Beetle juice) is a movie based on the true story of how the McDonalds franchise came to be. It focuses on the story of Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) a salesman from Illinois met Mac and Dick McDonald, who in the 1950s in Southern California were running an impressive speedy system of making the food and he saw a franchise potential. Through that Ray Kroc maneuvered himself into a position of pulling the company from the McDonalds brothers and creating a billion-dollar empire.  It is a family move with parental guidance required 7-9 PGL.


This movie is based on the 17 century where two Portuguese missionaries embark on a journey to Japan father Sebastian Rodrigues played by Andrew Garfield who played Spiderman and father Francisco Garupe played by Adam Driver. Reasons for the journey is to find their missing mentor played by Liam Neeson better known for his blockbuster movie franchise Taken. On this journey the two missionaries go through some difficult hardships that test their relationship with God and religion itself. As Catholicism was outlawed and their presence was forbidden.
